RISC OS STRONGARM ROM 3.70 (24 July 1996) ----------------------------------------- Details of common problems with this release, and solutions where available, are contained in the file commonproblems.txt in this directory. Please read it! Note that this ROM release identifies itself as version 3.70, because it is the proposed ROM for release with StrongARM. There is a disc build (disc.arc) optional with ARM 6/7, but required with StrongARM. For soft loading ---------------- Typically at least 10 Mb of DRAM is required. Download and decompress romimage.arc - copy the SoftLoad directory into your !Boot. - in the !Boot.!Run file, after the line that sets Boot$Dir, add the line: if "" = "commands" then /.softload.softload9 Note that RISC OS 3.7 CMOS allocations are different from those in RISC OS 3.6, so you'll need to do a delete-power on after the first time you softload the 3.7 ROM image if you wish to avoid the symptoms of randomly-unplugged modules. Disc Build 3.70-1, 15 July 1996 =============================== This disc build accompanies RISC OS 3.70. It does not include some components that will be present in the final build (eg images and videos), for reasons of ease of installation and economy of space. So don't delete anything until you're sure you won't need it again. Please send fault reports related to OS issues to isvquery@art.acorn.co.uk This software is supplied for example purposes only.
