Independent Schools To Benefit From Latest Acorn Leasing Scheme

31 May 1994

Acorn Computers, the leading provider of computers to UK schools, has announced Independent Options, an IT leasing scheme for independent schools designed to meet the specific financial and educational needs of this sector. Acorn's Independent Options will be backed up by an extensive campaign targeting headteachers, bursars and IT co-ordinators at independent schools to help them understand the benefits of IT leasing.

Peter Talbot, General Manager UK Education at Acorn Computers, comments:

"Leasing allows independent schools to install state-of-the-art computer systems without paying out large sums up front. This, in turn, can make the school more attractive to parents, generating increased profitability and more funds to re-invest in equipment and educational resources. Acorn's Independent Options gives schools the chance to swap old hardware for new during a rental period, so they can rest assured that they will not be left behind by any future technological developments."

Independent Options is part of Acorn Options, a competitive leasing scheme for schools. Options is promoted nationally by Acorn Education dealers and administered by Anglo Leasing, one of the largest technology finance companies in the UK. Software, on-site support, technical or curriculum training are also available through the scheme. Schools interested in more information about Acorn Options should contact the Options Administrator, Dawn McKenna on 061 832 6925.
