Release Your Child's Hidden Potential

Buy An Acorn Computer And Equip Your Child's School For Free!

Cambridge, UK. 26 September, 1994

Musical and scientific instruments, televisions, fax machines, CD players, sports equipment, kilns and computer add-ons are just some of the items you can help your child's school obtain, thanks to a major promotion by Acorn, the leading supplier of computers to schools. This exciting new scheme, called Acorn Advantage, will allocate points to parents who buy an Acorn computer for the home. Parents nominate the school of their choice to receive the points, and schools can then redeem these points for equipment. Points will also be awarded directly to schools for any Acorn equipment they purchase.

The ground-breaking scheme will issue parents with a guide on how to choose a computer for the home and how to win points for their child's school. For instance, 15,600 points will enable the school's music department to receive a new violin and 7,200 points will provide a free microscope. Primary schools, which Acorn's research has shown are currently sharing one computer between over 18 children, could benefit enormously from this equipment bonanza.

"Acorn Advantage not only allows parents to give their child a head start with a home computer, it also enables them to help their child's school obtain more equipment. This scheme will give the children further advantage and revitalise facilities in schools across the country. It's a fantastic opportunity for parents to help their child's education twice - at home and at school", comments Mike O'Riordan, Sales and Marketing Director at Acorn Computers.
