The large window at top left is the !X window, which can be seen serving several X applications including Mosaic (the NCSA World Wide Web Browser).
At right is an open NFS filer window, showing a user's home directory on a remote machine.
At bottom left is a !VT220 terminal emulator window (vertically reduced in size) in which can be seen part of a remote telnet session.
